How does inside sales coaching differ from traditional sales management?

Sales management focuses on operational oversight, pipeline forecasting, territory planning, and quota compliance. It inspects outcomes. Inside sales coaching is a collaborative development process focused on improving individual call behaviors, communication skills, and deal-execution strategies. It improves the inputs that create those outcomes.

How often should sales managers conduct coaching sessions?

Sales managers should hold a dedicated 30-to-45-minute coaching session with each rep weekly. Studies show that weekly 30-minute coaching cadences outperform long monthly deep-dives across all leading performance indicators.

How can teams prevent sales training decay after workshops?

Preventing training decay requires a deliberate 90-day post-workshop reinforcement strategy. This includes daily AI-driven role-play micro-missions, weekly audio call reviews focused on methodology adoption, and manager 1-on-1s calibrated around a single core focus area per quarter.
